Medicines of the unseen worlds,The Poison Path, flowers of the underworld

‘‘ We do not become enlightened by “imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”

- C. Jung

What is the poison path?

the poison path is seeing poisonous plants as great teachers & guides. Witches have worked with these allies for many generations and understood their boundless teachings. When we establish a relationship with these guides we allow ourselves to come into contact with our subconscious realms & encounter the shadow self, revealing the core of deeply ingrained conditioning, fears, behavioral patterns, & insecurities. These plants may assist us in turning our trauma into opportunities for growth & transformation. these plants communicate primarily through dreams, images, feelings, memories & share their stories in very mysterious and nebulous ways. Seeing into our shadow & confusion may point the direction into where our deepest wounds are. The shadow is often lost in amnesia and ignorance. Seeing into these aspects of the self gives us the opportunity to see our misfortunes as initiations. These entities teach us to embody our own mythopoetic self. As dark and scary as this path may seem, these allies teach us the true pathway to the heart. The best way to commune, understand, & work with these plants is through plant spirit communication journeys. Plant spirit communication is when we try to connect with plants through meditations and visualization or sitting with the plant directly. By establishing a psycho-spiritual relationship with them.  A part of the poison path being associated with alchemy is that alchemy takes poison and turns it into medicine. When we speak of the underworld, we are speaking of the language of the mythopoetic.

“I am a forest, and a night of dark trees: but he who is not afraid of my darkness, will find banks full of roses under my cypresses.”

Friedrich Nietzsche
